...Clause? I'm doing a social studies project and I picked that as my topic. I know that people were trying to keep African-Americans from voting so they made up a bunch of laws that kept them from voting. Since the Grandfather Clause said that you couldn't vote if your grandfather didn't vote in the election of 1806. So, around what time did all of this stuff start coming up?
