of him? the very first time i seen him box was 1993. he faced Bernard Hopkins for the vacant IBF middleweight championship. i never heard of either fighter before then. the fight was a dud in my opinion, i don't remember thinking much of RJJ then. though he was very fast, he seemed way too cautious. next i saw him a year later (his 2nd rd KO of Thomas Tate) needless to say my opinion changed. i actually picked him to win over James Toney when they fought a few months later, but i didn't expect him to win every round the way he did.
