when using voice chat others can hear a crackle coming from me. This also happens when

i have no mic plug in!? when in voice chat others can hear a crackle noise coming from my mic. This happens with or with out a mic plugged in. I can hear this noise from my computer speaker and headphones. Its a annoying as hell and makes it impossible to use open mic chat in video games.

p.s speakers will crackle even if the computer is just on the desk top with nothing running.
