Wasn't sure how to word the title, so I apologize if this thread doesn't make sense. That said.

The scoobie noobie thread, brought up a question on whether Scott Menville (current voice actor of Shaggy) voiced Robin on Teen Titans. It wouldn't be the first time it happened. Casey Kasem who voiced Robin (The Adventures Of Batman & Superfriends) also voiced Shaggy. Some other instances of the actor connection come to mind:

- Peter Venkman/Garfield: Bill Murray played the live action Peter, and would later voice Garfield on the live action movie Garfield 2. Lorenzo Music also had the roles of Peter and Garfield.

- Batgirl/Timmy Turner: Mary Kay Bergman voiced Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in the movie Subzero and was the first voice actress for Timmy Turner. Tara Strong would be the next to voice Batgirl and then Timmy Turner.


Any other situations such as this?
 
I don't know if it counts, but Richard Epcar did the title character from Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo Bo and Batou from GITS: SAC. Oh, and that Mary Liz Mc Glynn Norris did Maj. Kusanagi and Jura Basil Elden from GITS: SAC and Vandread respectively. And Steve Blum who did Roger Smith and Spike Spiegel from The Big O and Cowboy Bebop respectively.
 
I doubt this happens much outside of those and maybe a couple of other examples. It's pretty cool when it does though.

Wolf359, those are just... uh... actors who have played two roles. The thread's about when two different voice actors have played the same pair of characters. It generally only seems to happen with shows/characters that are popular enough to go through multiple incarnations, to the point that the original actors can't do the voice anymore.
 
I don't know if this is what you are looking for. But I don't know if I will ever get a chance to bring this facts up, so I will now.

Tara Strong first voice over job was on the Care Bears (she voiced some of the kids that the Care Bears helped on their mission, and most memorably voiced Anna in the CB Nutcracker movie). As previously mentioned Tara would go on to voice Timmy Turner. There was a Fairly Odd Parents episode called Totally Spaced Out ) which parodied the Care Bears with the characters the Giggle Pies.

Scott Menville first voice over job was on Rainbow Brite. As I mention above, Tara Strong first voice over job was on the Care Bears. They voice the two darkest more serious members of the Teen Titans Robin and Raven, and both them began on kiddie shows Rainbow Brite and the Care Bears.

Will Friedle voiced Batman's hare on Batman Beyond, he also voiced Ron on Kim Possible, there was an episode in which Adam West played the ex star of a 60's tv show Timithy North called the Fearless Ferriot which is a take on Batman, in this episode Timithy who thanks the show was real, makes Ron the new Fearless Ferriot, the same premese as Batman Beyond.

Does it count the fact that Tara Strong voiced Dil on Rugrats / All Grown Up, and Dionne Quan voiced Kimi on Rugrats / All Grown Up. And they would also work together on the Fairly Odd Parents, Tara voiced Timmy, and Dionne voiced Trixie Tang.

Another fact, Mary Kay Bergman and Grey DeLisle were both on the Fairly Odd Parents Oh Yeah Cartoon shorts, Mary voiced Timmy, and Grey voiced Vicky. Grey DeLisle took over the role of Daphne Blake on Scooby Doo from Mary.
 
Casey Kasem did the voice of Robin as well as Shaggy in The Scooby Movies.

Jim Cummings did the voice of both Lucky Picquell and Bonkers in Bonkers.

Cree Summer voiced both Abigail Lincoln (No.5) and her sister Cree on Codename Kids Next Door.

Tom Kenny voiced both the Mayor and the announcer on The Powerpuff Girls.

And of course, Billy West was the voice of both Ren & Stimpy.
 
Here is one that is in reverse I think.

Tracey Moore was the voice of Cheer Bear on The Care Bears and and the english dubbed version of Serena on Sailor Moon and both of those roles her successor was Terri Hawkes. (though I prefer the original Japanize Salior Moon)
 
The answer is yes---and no. Bear in mind that there were two VA's doing Robin in between Casey Kasem (1968-86) and Scott Menville.

The logic doesn't apply in this case. Music lasted one season on Real Ghostbusters, replaced in season 2 by Dave Coulier (ex-Full House). Had Coulier netted the gig for the Garfield movies, then you have something.
 
How about siblings being voiced by the same actors. I have one example which is unique, in that it is different types of siblings.

E.G. Daley and Tara Strong played sisters (sort of, I don't know much the technical stuff of their birth and how they related when the professor created them) Buttercup and Bubbles on the Powerpuff Girls, than latter played brothers Tommy and Dil Pickles on Rugrats.
 
I guess you're talking about instances where a VA has voiced two characters another VA has voiced.

Joe Alaskey and Billy West can do several of Mel Blanc's Looney Tunes voices.
 
I wasn't really to clear with my question, but basically my question is when two actors both voice two of the same characters as each other. But I think I've figured a way to word it:

Casey Kasem and Scott Menvile: Both played Robin/Dick Grayson and Shaggy.

Lorenzo Music and Bill Murray: Both played Peter Venkman and Garfield.

Mary Kay Bergman and Tara Strong: Both had a turn at voicing Barbara Gordon and Timmy Turner.
 
Ohhh I get it...you mean when one voice actor plays two characters, and then another voice actor comes along and ends up voicing the same two?
 
In that case, there are a lot of Mel Blanc characters that could possibly qualiify.

Bugs and Daffy were both voiced by Mel, and in the time since his death, they've been both voiced by Jeff Bergman and Joe Alaskey, among others.
Similarly, Barney Rubble and Mr. Spacely were original played by Mel Blanc, and were both also awarded to Jeff Bergman upon his death.
 
Here's one that I didn't know at the time. Both Back To The Future and Stuart Little had Michael J Fox as the main character. Both were also given a brief animated follow up.

Coincidently, both the animated versions of Marty McFly and Stuart were voiced by David Kaufman.
 
Here's an example that might count: Searling Holloway was the voice of Winnie the Pooh and Kaa from The Jungle Book. Jim Cumming has done both roles now. He also narrated an episode of Animaniacs with the same voice as Holloway.
 
I've noticed Disney does this alot...Off the top of my head,Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty) and Lady Tremaine (Cinderella's stepmother) had the same VA in the original movies (Eleanor Audeley...might not be spelling the name right :sweat:)...and they also have the same VA for their more recent appearances (the Kingdom Hearts games and Cinderella 3),though I can't remember the current VAs name...
 
I am not sure if this counts but here it goes:


Pinto Colvig voiced Disney's Goofy. Pinto also re-used the Goofy voice for a short-lived Warner Bros character called Conrad Cat. I wouldn't be surprised if WB hired Bill Farmer to do Conrad's voice today!
