into three how did they cut God up ? Was it painful for God to be sliced up ?
Why was the one God both Jews & Christians worshiped divided into three ?
Was it to convert the Pagans or did the Catholics send someone to Heaven to carve God up ?

A ds for pointing out faults in your beliefs or because you & i may not agree ?
I would never resort to calling people names but i guess i have higher moral values .
They didn't cut God up. They decided they wanted to worship multiple gods but still call themselves monotheists, so they plastered multiple gods together.
I think you have things backwards. At the Council of Nicaea the Church was threatened by the heretical belief that Jesus was not God which threatened the very foundation of Christianity. If Jesus is not God incarnate then He cannot be the Messiah because according to prophecy only a "perfect" sacrifice would atone for the sins of the world. If the Arians were right and/or allowed to prevail, it would reveal Jesus as a pretender and a liar as the Messiah and the end of Christianity.
At the Council the Arians outnumbered the Trinitarians overwhelmingly and none of the bishops wanted to go against Arius and his supporters who wanted to deny the ongoing teaching of the Church that Jesus was the incarnation of God in the Trinity. It was only a lowly young deacon who confronted the heresy named Athanasius. His arguments were so strong and his support from the writings of the Church fathers so great that he prevailed. The battle continued for decades with the Emperor Constantine siding with the Arians but in spite of the political pressure from within and without the Church the inspiration of the Holy Spirit prevailed and the Church continued in the doctrine of the Trinity which was the teaching of Jesus and the apostles. God bless!
There were only two representatives of the Roman Catholic Church at the Council of Nicaea, though there were hundreds of representatives, nearly all of them were from the Eastern Church.
