I have 4 common gold fish, all 2 years old, which are displaying some spawning behaviour, however the two females do not look pregnant yet. When should I put my spawning mop in? Do I put it in to encourage the female to grow eggs? or should I wait until there is definately a pregnant fish in there? OR some people have suggested I wait until she has already started laying eggs and then put it in there quickly! There is a lot of confusing information on the internet!
