When setting up my iPhone with my wireless network, what do I use for the password?

I had to reset my network settings on my iphone (long story). Now, I am trying to reconnect to my wireless connection (that is running strong on my PC), but I am not sure what to put in when the iphone prompts for "Password". I have a linksys router, and a WEP 26 hex digit encryption set up. I don't know if I put my Router Password, my passphrase, or my network key (the 26 digit thing) in. I think i have tried them all, but my iphone just keeps saying "unable to connect to network" after a few seconds. Also, all the info (ip address, subnet mask, etc) is blank on the network i am trying to connect to. WTF? Everything was working fine, i didn't screw with it, and now it doesn't work. What password do i use, and what else could be the problem if my password (that I know is correct) doesn't let me join?
**Also I took the security off completely for a minute and it still said unable to connect.

That seems weird. Once you take off the security on your router, it should be able to connect.

I would change all the passords on your router, make sure you're connecting to the correct wirless network, and use WPA security (better and you can use passphrases instead of 16 or so hex digits).
