send the best individual sections? For example, in a purely hypothetical situation:

A girl takes the SAT reasoning test in April. Her scores are 500 for Critical Reading, 500 for Math, and 500 for writing.

She takes the SAT reasoning test again in June. Her scores this time are 450 for critical reading, 600 for math, and 400 for writing.

When a college looks at this girl's SAT scores, will they approach it as "On test one, she got a 1500; on test two, she got a 1450," or will they say "Well, her highest scores between both tests in each section were 500 in CR, 600 in M, and 500 in W"?
