Safety is my first concern. I don't wave if I am in the middle of a turn, if traffic is heavy, or if weather is bad. Otherwise, I wave at anything on two wheel. Including bicycles as this is where most two wheeled riders get started. I also wave at children if they wave first. Why some don't wave, well.. I wonder if Buell had something to do with this. They put out an ad that made it seem un biker like to wave. Like you weren't a serious biker if you waved.
