When purchasing a new tv. Does 60 HZ vs 120 Hz REALLY matter?
Is it worth the extra $?....I watch sports, movies, normal tv ,and play ps3....already have hd service from direct tv. Im looking at a 46 inch Samsung from Bestbuy and there is about a $300 difference
 
Yes, on anything over 32 inches my advice would definitely be to get as high as you can afford. I have a 46 inch Toshiba that is 120hz and it is very smooth, but I still wish I had bought the 240hz. On bigger TV's you will see lot of motion blur...for a reference go to Walmart..most of their in-store TV's are cheap, and they're 60hz and blurry.
