When people were drafted into the army, how were they notified?

I'm assuming they got a letter in the mail, but do any of you know what the letters specifically said? It would be very helpful if someone could link me to an example of one of these letters. Thanks!

The letters or telegrams usually said "You are ordered to report to Fort (Fill in a name) for duty on such and such a date and at such and such a time.

"Greetings" You have been chosen by your local selective service board to report to( such and such a place) After reporting to the induction center you were given a choice Army, Navy, or Marines, there were no Air Force as a separate branch, it was the Army Air Corps! They liked to trick you by putting you in the opposite choice.

You should be able to find others with Google "draft letter." Of course, you'll have to wade through "rough draft" letters, as well.
