When people don't have a bit of credible evidence to back up an outlandish claim

(May 21 rapture for example)? and instead insist you believe them because they KNOW that what they are saying is TRUE, do you get the feeling that ALL religion is nothing but a bunch of snake oil and the people who sell it?
 
Shut up, they BELIEVED! Just as surely as the rest of you believe your little fairy-tales. I see no difference.
This is why I prefer reason and logic to superstition and willful ignorance. Science vs Religion,
 
I don't see how an outlandish claim says anything about 'religion'. It says a lot about the gullibility of the people who buy in this particular claim, certainly.

But really, when you start with a magic man creating the universe in six days, including sculpting man from clay, is this claim SO outlandish?
 
i don't get the feeling that ALL religion is nothing but a bunch of snake oil and the people who sell it... I KNOW ALL religion is nothing but a bunch of snake oil and the people who sell it :)
