When it comes to Christianity and Intimacy how far is too far?

I have a male friend...we're really close. We share a lot together...I'm a christian, he's a Baha'i. We Both made it clear to each other that marriage is a common goal. I feel as if we have a special closeness and maybe even feelings for each other...we haven't had sex...We both want to wait until marriage, but when we are parting...We hug each other(his arms are around my waist, my arms are around his body). The hug lasted for 20 seconds. Are you allowed to hug someone so romantically, non-sexually according to christian rules?
