I live in suburban NJ 2 miles from the shoreline and would like to start a small flower garden, nothing difficult or extravagant, just a few of the easiest flowers to grow for beginners. I want so badly to develop a hobby out of this.
I was wondering if anyone knows the best time to plant in my area of the country- could i start now and see some results before summer ends? I don't mind if they die, as long as i get some practice in. Or should i grow flowers in doors in the winter time and plant them next spring.
Also, What are some good flower combinations that are easy for a very new gardener.
Thank you very much!
