when is the best time to sell your car and not lose so much ?

just the timing to get the best deal for ur car and i mean details
when?
condition?
gas prices?
remaining warranty or no?
 
If you buy a vehicle new you are going to get hosed as you'll lose as much as 20% of the value as soon as you leave the dealership. Other than that, the best time to trade is at about 2.5 years old and under 50K miles. Perfect condition is a must and selling with a remaining warranty is a great incentive for buyers. Much of the value of course depends upon the market and it is certainly much better to be selling a Honda Accord than a Cadillac Escalade. Of course if someone is stupid enough to be driving a 2 year old Escalade, or a Hummer, these days they certainly deserve what little they get for a trade-in.
