When is the best time or season to travel by car from California to New Jersey?

I am planning to travel from California to New Jersey next year with my Unlimited Mileage 100% Electric Vehicle for road test.
- not plug-in
- runs with 1 car battery only
- unlimited mileage
- not a hybrid (no fuel needed or any combustible element)
- a true 100% EV
