I would like to take my 1 Nexium pill a day pretty soon after I wake up, but I heard that it is best to take these pills at the same time everyday. I usually wake up at 10am, but at least twice a week, I may randomly get up at 7am. In the latter case, should I Take the pill around 7-ish, or just wait the 3 hours?

You should take the Nexium 1/2 hour to 1 hour before your breakfast. If you take it twice a day, the second dosage would be 1/2 hour to 1 hour before dinner.

There are a few people who have posted here who take their dosage in the evenings.

So...it doesn't matter if one day my breakfast is at 8am, and then the next day it's at 12 Noon?

I don't know that your schedule is ideal, but based upon the instructions provided with the Nexium you should take it prior to eating. Most PPI's have the same recommendation. My GI doc also directed me to take mine 1/2 hour-1 hour prior to a meal. The only PPI exception I've had to that is the Kapidex with its time release capsule.

If you really have a concern about your schedule, you should talk to your Pharmacist or doctor. Also, most websites from the makers of a prescription have the instructions on usage.

Nexium has been really helpful. I don't have insurance and was having trouble affording it. I found a generic online that has been just as great. No problems with it. try it if you need it.
