When is Android 2.2 coming out on the Droid X for Verizon?

Hi everyone i just bought a droid x and im wondering when android 2.2 with flash 10.1 will be released? Have they announced an actual date yet or are they still saying by the end of the summer? Also when it is released will my phone update automatically or will i have to update it manually?
