When is Alltel combining with AT&T?

I want to switch over from Verizon when and if this happenes because the iPhone for verizon is too expensive. Especially with the extra package thing you have to pay for extra monthly just because it's a smart phone. But when will Alltel combine with AT&T so I can plan on switching over?
 
alltel don't have iphone........ smart Phones good there plans 89.99 for everything i know alltel is with verizon in some states
