When is a baby considered human?

Basically, this is what all the abortion debates come down to. I do think it's all relative, but I'm curious to know the opinions of the members of this forum.

May I ask what makes a person a person after the first trimester? It seems like an arbitary point considering there really is no difference in a 2month 3 week baby and a 3 month 1 week baby....there is no science changing point at a "trimister" and the trimester system is just a way the court decided to split up a pregnancy...oddly 9/3 was a nice number so three perioRAB of 3 months...Kinda like semister.

If I had included every point in the growth of the fetus, there would be too many poll coices. In case you didn't know, the most choices you can have is ten.

For me it's after 2-3 weeks. After 2 weeks the central nerve system is being formed and after 3 weeks the heart starts to beat. That's enough to qualify it as human.

Whether or not it has rights by then is a different matter alltogether. There are plenty of fully grown adults on this planet that don't have rights....

BTW since my option isn't available in the poll, I voted for the 1-month option.

I just want to say that it's hard to calculate a month or week before birth because children can be born as much as 2 - 3 months early. Granted that's not a good thing but it does happen. Babies can also be born as much as 2 weeks late.
