When i turn my music up my stereo turns off and the TIMER lite blinks...?

when i turn a song up to 20... or something it stops playing and goes to sleep... and if i press any button it turns on and resumes playing after 15 seconds.. it is souround sound system but it goes up to 50 in vol but it dont play 20? help??? it is also a
dvd
compact disc digital video
digitle souround sound
digital prologic II
photo veiwer
wma/mp3
and it is a pioneer 5.1 i think........ but i really need help to stop that TIMER thingy
