when I open my email in outlook express and need to open something on IE it goes

directly to Google Chrome WH? when I open my email in outlook express and I am sent something to open it used to go to IE to open and now everything I attempt to do goes through Google Chrome. It has taken over my computer. I have removed it from my control panel and could not get anything so I had to reinstall the Google Chrome. Until I installed this I had no problems so anyone know the problem? thank you
