When I jump my 91 Toyota Pavia it starts right up but remove the jumper

the alternator is bad on it when they do that,take it off and have it checked under a pressure load,it should show to be bad and needs replaced,any parts store will check it for free,good luck
 
if you can jump your car but it dies after you remove the jump cables.....have an auto electrician look at the altrnator..ussually if the alternator is stuffed it will not put out any charge to the battery and electrics.....gl
 
That is for sure your alternator and battery. Realy simple job, remove the battery then the serpintine belt. Unbolt the alternator and replace. The hardest part of the whole job is putting the serpintine belt back on.
 
Yea.. Its the alternator for sure. It needs to produce 14 volts at all times Its a small generator which keeps the battery charged and going. Go to advance or auto zone they test for free, and get a new one. the remain alternators don't work so good sometimes After you have it installed get the battery tested to make sure its o.k. First have the battery checked... and then have the alternator bench tested.. if it's not either of those it could be a bad wire from the alternator to the battery or a bad ground wire ;)
 
alternator have it tested for free at auto parts store but before that take batt. cables off n clean them probably dirty causing lack of juice
