When I got in my car this (cold) morning, the electronics worked but would not

display...? It was really cold this morning- high 30's, low 40's... When I started my car, the engine worked fine but I let it warm up for a few minutes. I noticed that none of the electronic displays on my car worked- the odd thing was that the electronics themselves worked- the radio worked fine, the a/c - heater worked fine, my phone charger worked fine- there was just no display on the electronic screens. Several minutes later, they came on, and continued to intermittently turn on and off. After maybe ten minutes it worked fine and displayed for my hour-long commute. Is this due to the cold, or is there some underlying problem at hand?
Not sure if it matters, but it's a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL
