My husband and I are both trying to go back to school. Today, we filed our fafsa's and are waiting for them to be processed and let us know what we have been awarded. recently, we discovered we could also take out a student loan from our bank in Tennessee. My question is, what happens if you have too much financial aid?
for example: if the cost of tuition is 17,000, the bank gives you 16,000 and you receive an additional 17,000 from the government in all its forms, what happens to the remaining $16,000?
Does it get sent back to the government or does it come in the form of a student refund check?
