...and Eve would disobey...? did he keep it there because it looked good? Would not having that tree there really make them less free, than say putting it their and commanding them not to eat it?
Booster- So without that tree, Adam and Eve would never have had free will?

Charmed- I hope so, I've been asking quite a few questions that a lot seem to get angry at.
 
The story is about how to realize ones own godliness, not worship the false Abrahamic god.

....Do u know,The God give us a strength move,breath,see,talk,listen and also help us to eat...The god very Love All Humankind.Even,we pray to creature that God created,the God still give us a chance to find itself....But,when we're came to this world,we all turns to find money and to be rich.If i ask u show me your God right now with proven?where your God?we all say inside our Heart,so we all pray for God inside our heart.How can,we say God inside our heart,which means the god with us..Associate with us..And if we do a bad thing the god also did sane thing and the God turns to Devil?We pray to the dark inside our heart,say and trust that is god...That shows,we don't now about God sign and to different shape between God and Creature??
 
It was a test of obedience. It must be remembered, Adan and Eve were created after the fall of Lucifer. There is a great deal more to Lucifer's fall than most realize. He deceived a third of the Heavenly host and they rebelled against God.
This changed the order of things. From that moment on all creation was put on probation. The angels were deceived as Adam and Eve were, they believed he was right.
One can only assume some of the unfallen angels may have had some doubt due to the sophistry of Lucifer's arguments but these would have been squashed when it was Satan's work in the death of Christ.
The tree could also be looked upon as the flag of allegience/obedience.
