When does the Bible become a Science/history book and when does it not?

When you ask a Christian why the Ice Age isn't in the bible there response is that the Bible is not a history book or when you ask why do genetic markers show our decedents are from southern africa their response is the bible is not a science book.

So for other questions it is a science/history book but for some questions it is not.

Wow Ike your ignorant...go read a book about Genetics before you say something so stupid. We all have distinct genetic markers depending on our ethnic group. The tribes in southern Africa don't share the same genetic makers as everyone else but we all have their genetic markers which shows that the human family tree started in Africa.
 
Our genetic markers say "Made in South Africa"? Interesting.

I think you are making assertions from "prehistory" not from history.
 
The Bible is myth, nothing mote than myth, some myth is based in fact but most of it is just myth. No Genesis, no exodus, no Moses, no plagues, no desert wondering, to start and the new :no star, no census, no birth in Bethlehem, no slaughter of the innocents, no Jesus most likely.
 
The bible is only a history book if one uses it as one of many sources in studying the ancient Jews and their culture. It is NEVER a science book. It is a spiritual book. Not all Christians think that way.
 
The Bible is a testimony -- a way people have passed along their story through the generations.

Think of a family scrap book -- it's not exactly a historical nor scientific text. Yet, it does tell the history and biology of the family, it is truthful and carries a deep, personal meaning for the family.
 
when they give arabs names like David & Adam, you know it's fake. when they can prove any of the crap is true then it might be believable. It's just like with the insurance companies in america, if the people would quit bailing(paying tithe) the churches out, they'll disappear.

The Bible is a science and history book in every instance where in mentions any relevant topics.

It ceases to be a science book in that it does not change every 5 years like the rest of them.
