major dealer? My wife and I bought a used 2005 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport from a Dodge dealer (not saying their name). We have had the car for about almost 2 weeks and the transmission is slipping! We made an appointment for service under the 3 month / 3,000 mile warranty the dealer gave with the car. Behold we take her car to the Dodge dealer and they told us that Chrysler has ceased their ability to perform major repairs or sell new vehicles....convenient for them. So we take it to a Chrysler down the street and they said our warranty is not activated in their (Chrysler's) system. So they will not work on the car even though I have 3 dealer provided copies of a document from Dodge stating that there is in fact a warranty on the car! So why are they trying to look for a Chrysler Service Contract if the party responsible for the payment of repairs on such a warranty is provided by the Dodge dealer and not Chrysler!???
