before you put fish in your tank you have to cycle your fish tank first.i know that you have to put small of pinch of foods or gravel that have already used. then the ammonia start . so i jsut want to know that when ammonia started does it mean nitrite and nitrate start at the same time as ammonia start if so how you know that?

First the ammonia spikes, then drops, then the nitrite spikes then drops, then you have nitrates left. Then you're done.

Test your water every couple of days. The ammonia and nitrite spike/drops could take anywhere from a couple of days to 2 weeks.

well, if u put in those things u mentioned, u will have amonia breaking down bacteria, but remmeebr those bacteria need food too, so what i usually do is put in like a fish or two, and feed it SUPER lightly (you are more likely to kill the fish by amonia poisioning than starvation), also all i do is get an extablished tanks water filter and rinse it in AQUARIUM water, and run that filter in the new tank for a few days, and there u have it.

then after a few days say about 7 or so, u can feed more, add more fishes etc

i have never bout a test kit in my life, and all my fish are fine...regular filter cleans, na dwater changes.

if u cant get an established tanks filter, just soak your filter in cycle solution then add the filter to the tank and let it run, but id advise u to add a fish or two, so that the bacteria get food to populate the filter sponge
:)
