When do you think he will get out of jail?

hello everyone. My fiance' went to jail last night for Violation probation misdeamedor pettit theft. It was a complicated story about what happend, but my question is how long do you think he'll be in for? He has not done anything wrong before, no previous charges. His bond is $2,000 and no one will help me get him out due to no money. I have no money myself and I am so sad and hurt. The judge that he saw this morning said he will not get out unless he pays his bond or he waits for another court date!!! HELPP PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEe

That isn't quite true that he hasn't done anything wrong before or had any previous charges. The only way he could "violate probation" would be if he was already on it (probation means he has been convicted of a crime in a court of law). Now as for how long he will be in jail...probably for the length of his original sentence AND there may be more time added on for his new charges.

As for paying bail, don't do this for anyone. You will pay the bondsman fee and you could lose the entire amount of the bail if your fiance decides to skip. And you might never ever get your money back.

I know you are hurting but my best advice would be for you to leave him in jail to think about the error of his ways. This is not his first time in trouble, otherwise there would have been no probation to violate and he obviously hasn't learned his lesson yet. A little jail time will help with that, hopefully. And when he comes out, you need to have a chat with him as he is obviously lying to you.

Good luck!

honey im sorry but you answered your question yourself. if a judge says he wont let him go without the bond, hes not getting out.

He can ask the judge to grant him a bond reduction - I've seen them granted. Phone a bondsman, ask him what you can do to get him out- place your car or anything of value up as collateral. If you can't successfully do this and he does end up having to wait in jail for his court date, he needs to stress the issue to his attorney that he will have to remain in jail until the hearing and it is important that the attorney not make any continuances on his case causing his stay to be even longer. You could call the jail every day umpteen times a day bugging them, asking how he is doing. Tell him to start filling out medical requests like crazy, he could claim chest pains, after that, a fake fall, a bad tooth or whatever it takes to get a trip to the hospital, doctor, or dentist - the jail has to pay for all of this and it quickly becomes a money pit for them to keep him detained. They will be wanting him to leave, believe me! - call his attorney every day and ask for up dates.
