when do you get your first sonogram if you just found out your pregnant from a

home test.? i just found out i was pregnant last night when i took a home test. so know im looking for a good clinic and want to know do they give you a sonogram and tell you how far you are or they just go off your last period.
 
The day i got a positive pregnancy test I went to the doctor to get another test to confirm, and then set up prenatal care. I was 4 weeks and 5 days at that point. I went in for my first exam at 10 weeks and some days. Which included a full pelvic exam, and my ultrasound where I saw the baby for the first time and heard the heartbeat. It was amazing!
 
tell the dr that you don't know when you last period was and they will do a sonogram to see how far along you are i got pregnant unexpectedly and so i didn't know my last period and they did a sonogram to see

If home pregnancy test is positive, a vaginal US will show gestational sac and embryo immediately. But it has to be vaginal as it may be too early for external US. After my home preg test was positive, I got a blood test done first (for hcg) and then a sonogram in the 5th -6th week. Its better to do one really early to rule out ectopic (outside uterus)pregnancy.
