When did your home pregnancy test result get "as dark or darker" than the control line?

I'm about 5 weeks pregnant & wonder when the test line should get darker?

I think as the hormone increases the line will get darker, but with mine it was pretty dark the first time I took it ... and that was about 5 weeks and 3 days. I went to the doctor the same day and had it confirmed. They also took a blood test.
