When connecting Nexus, broken device?

What up,
When I connect my Nexus to the PC, it auto mounts (I forgot how I got it to do that, plus I dont want it to auto-mount), and, a message pops up (before autoplay) saying the device appears to be broken and it asks if it wants to scan for errors.

As soon as i try to scan for errors, the device unmounts and it fails, one time i got the blue screen of death when trying to 'fix the errors', all i did was restart the good ol' pc and it was all good.

Any help would be much appreciated. On how to stop the error messages and/or how to stop it from auto-mounting. Thanks guys.

Had something similar happen. Turn your phone off, put the sd card in a card reader and scan it for errors. Put it back in the phone and see if that helps. It fixed the errors on mine but not sure on the auto mounting. Are you using Double Twist on your phone? If so go to double twist settings and uncheck auto usb drive.

Yea I actually tried the double twist app, I will try the settings when i re install that app right now. Thanks for the help, now i must get a card reader, how much are they>?
