when can i take a pregnancy test?

if my period is never really regular when can i takke a test?.. Its usually longer then 28 days, ,more like 30-32 days.. but always different... i think i am pregnant, so coulod i take the test at the 28th day mark, ordo i have too wait until 32 days?
