I saw my neurosurgeon today and asked him why my lurabar spine pain has disappeared and is it connected to the intermittent loss of bowel and bladder function. He won't know until he sees my MRI but warned me....
"Long term back or neck pain that goes away and stays away for no reason can be a sign that it is getting too late to fix it".
When I saw him for my neck problems 4 years ago I had no pain then either and was very close to paralysis. I'm hoping I haven't made the same mistake with my lurabar spine and that the lack of pain is form the weight loss and exercises I have done.
I'll know soon. But I thought I'd post his warning for all here. No pain can feel nice but can be a very bad sign. It neeRAB to be checked out ASAP.
