When arriving at boot camp...?

is there really an amnesty room (or whatever they want to call it) where you can leave anything you should not have, and they do not care who brought it or what it is?
I seem to recall seeing a show about boot camp for the army, and the Cpl. told the recruits "you can have a brick of cocaine"
People walk into an enclosed room and shut the door, then leave anything illegal, or not allowed at boot.

Not in USMC boot camp. What kind of troll would bring something like that to boot camp?

we had something like that. Everyone had a chance to enter a unmanned room and drop what ever into a shoot... One man enters, then comes out, next man went in... no one knew if anyone really discarded anything
