When and how is the mother of the groom seated at the church?

The rehearsal is in 2 weeks and I have no idea when I as mother of the groom is be seated at the church. Am I in the front pew as soon as my son is standing up front waiting for his bride?(to give moral support) Or am I ushered to my seat just before the mother of the bride, who I understand goes in last?
 
Typically, the seating of the mothers occurs right before the bridal procession. The seating of the mothers is the official start to the wedding procession. The MOG is seated first --- you can be escorted by your husband or one of the groomsmen. Then the MOB is seated, then the wedding party. The guys typically are already standing at the altar (or whatever) at this time.

You will be seated in the front row on the right hand side of the aisle -- that is the "norm" for the groom's side of the family.
 
They will tell you.

But most wedding consultants have the grandparents escorted down the aisle, followed by the mother and father of the groom, then the mother of the bride.

At that point, the officiant and groom enter. And most times the best man and groomsmen if they aren't escorting the ladies down the aisle.
 
they will tell you...but really those details dont matter...closer family is usually at the front row..i wouldnt care whch side..

but im not traditional
 
some people will have the grooms family already seated, but a reserved row in the front of the church. others will have the grooms mother escorted to her seat just before the brides mother - who, you are correct, goes last just before the bridal party.
