Well if they did, they had sex out of wedlock and isn't that breaking a sin? The story is full of holes.
 
They were meant to breed but eve messed it up for everyone by eating the forbidden fruit and making adam. That's why women feel pain and have their periods. Hope y'all are happy.
 
I think he must have, just going from textual literary analysis. Because as part of her punishment God tells Eve he will multiply her birth pains. That implies he was planning that she have births and that they somewhat painful to begin with.
