...News Network? I'm talking about MSNBC and FOX News.
These channels no longer report news, it's strictly political commentary, yet they are still allowed to call themselves News Networks. Isn't that misleading?
No, I'm not a Liberal. I'm a Canadian Conservative that is greatly displeased with our ally to the South.

I agree. But at least MSNBC doesn't describe itself as a news network. Fox has the audacity to not only use the word "News" as part of its name, but to use the slogan "Fair and Balanced". They seem to think that if they say it enough it'll become true.

Both of these networks are pretty much 100% editorial, which would be fine if they described themselves as such. Maybe even a disclaimer before each program "the reports you are about to see are OPINION.....)

I don't know about MSNBC but FOX does report the news. Yes, they have commentary but they're debating a subject that's in the news. They do have news breaks to give the lastest on what's going on. If you actually watched them you would agree. Tried to throw a curve ball with the fairness doctrine, didn't you? Just come right out and say you're a Liberal. It's much easier to attack directly instead of the sneak attacks.

I saw news on MSNBC, it's in the mornings.

I wish I got Fox News, I only get to see the most ridiculous parts online, and wish i could see if it was like that all the time.

msnbc is pro-obama and mocks the american people who disaggre with him.
Fox has the gonads to confront the obama administration and therefore are always being "hated on" by Barack Hitler.

I do not watch either MSNBC of Fox because I consider them to be a waste of time.

However it is my understanding that both networks are a mixture of news and commentary.

I see no basis for your claim that it is misleading to call them news networks.
