When a car is running in the lead, how does it look different from all the rest?

Now that you mention it...I don't conciously notice the sponsor that much but only because they show that car so often. One becomes immune to who is sponsoring the car. If I were new at watching races I probably would notice it clearer. Frankly...I notice the second and third car more...I need to know how far/close they are to the lead car so I would notice their sponsor far more I guess.

Maggie brought up a great point. When I think about it, once the lead car gets to a certain lead, I more often look at the rest of the top 5 or 10 to see how close the race is. I don't focus on what sponsor is running where during the race, just the driver. I notice the sponsor more from the commercials, caution laps, post-race interviews, etc.

It usually looks different because there are not all those other annoying cars in front of it. LOL

I imagine that everyone would notice the sponsor more just due to the fact that that sponsor is immediately getting more air-time. Unless you really hate the driver and change the channel.....
