Whats Your Training Technique?

I know that almost every trainer has a different way of training or breaking a horse, so whats yours?

When i trained my horse, i took things slow. And constantly rewarded my horse for his good behaviour. I found that because i did this he picked things up quickly. And i only disciplined when i Absolutely needed to (like when he was bucking). We have an amazing bond because of it.

Ive seen other people at my stable try to train horses and its a disaster! Like this one girl, she has a gaited horse. She got it three months ago, when she got it, it was malnourished, and was full of worms. And she started riding it as soon as she got it home. You'd think that since it was in such bad condition she would give it some time off, but no. Right now she's using draw reins on it, even though she doesn't properly know how to yet. She constantly fights with her horse because she expects soo much from it. Also her horse doesn't know how to canter properly, since it is a gaited horse and all, which adds to the fighting. Shes almost had her horse rear over on her a few times because of it. And every time her horse acts up she beats it in the head with a whip, causing it to rear.
I definitely think this is the wrong way to train a horse, and im sure nothing good will come from it.

So what do you guys think?
And whats your training technique?
