What's your opinion on the latest breaking news about the Presidential debate?

Just heard on Fox News and CNN that John McCain has requested the debate scheduled for this Friday to be postponed. He feels he and Obama are needed back in Washington, D.C. to work on the bailout issue. McCain said he doubts the bailout will be approved this week, and he thinks it's more important that he and Obama suspend their campaign to return to Washington to work together on the economy. What are your opinions on this?
Sorry I don't have a link to this, as McCain just made the announcement a few minutes ago life. Do you think this is a good move on McCain's part, and do you think Obama will agree with him on this for the good of our country?

I think that it's a good idea. Everyone who is anyone in D.C. needs to be working on our current economic situation.
 
I agree! Everyone concerned needs to be in Washington right now. The campaign will still be there. This matter is of MUCH greater concern.
I haven't found that announcement yet, but I'm sure you got it right.
 
Yeah i heard. McCain probably doesn't know what to say on friday night so he is making the economy as an excuse to get out of debating Obama. He has been in the government for the past 26 years and has done nothing and in one night he is going to find a solution to the mess? i don't think so. Obama better not fall for this sneaky Republican tactic. If i were Obama, i would say: i don't think so, i'm ready and lets get it on!

Regardless of what McCain says, voters are going to see this as a major weakness for McCain and believe that he is affraid of Obama and is not ready to go one on one with him.
 
I think Mr.McCain will lose the election before he See's the Americain people go under. What most don't seem to understand this Is McCain he has and always will put His Country first. too bad Obama is not the same kind of person.
