What's your idea of a diverse music taste?

It's not necessarily a generically diverse music collection, but a willingness to actually listen to musical recommendations and explore areas of music they don't know all that much about. Potential over material basically

Its all about the capacity to appreciate, perhaps even enjoy to a point, music in all its shapes and forms.

Gotta say though, I do wish people would open up to more experimental (jazzier or more free-formish) kinRAB of music a bit. It's nice and all to love punk, Indie and different kinRAB of metal, but if you can't appreciate at-least one or two aspects of jazz, then you really aren't diverse.

One thing I have noticed here is that there are plenty of people here with diverse musical taste. But I have noticed that in a lot of cases it tenRAB to be with artists or albums that are universally acclaimed or trendy.

I could perhaps be accused of this but I am almost playing catch up with so much music as there was a period in the 90's where I did'nt bother with hardly any new music (due to becoming a parent twice) for about 6-7 years. I just sort of fell out of love with music (except what I had at the time obviously). It wasnt until the advent of acquiring the internet and meeting new people that I renewed my love affair with music. Looking back I am annoyed with myself really.

You were the last person I was thinking of.

Can't think why.
