I've become admittedly obsessed with that album, I drive around half rapping with Yoni all the time.

Below are the lyrics of a song by Yusuf (formerly Cat Stevens) that moves me very much. I like the honesty and simplicity of the lyrics and the room he gives in them for interpretation (which may also just mean that the lyrics are somewhat vague). Although as an atheist I do not believe souls or goRAB exist (as described in his song), I relate to the sense of self and introspection he describes. I feel the song shows someone who has learned to be at peace with the journey of life, much of which we can't control but some of which we can, such as by changing our behavior when we regret past actions.

No direction or focus? The lyrics are clearly about being controlled and used, with the implied theme that it's got to stop.
Saying they're the most awful lyrics you've ever seen is just untrue.
EDIT: Basically, I know that they're simple. They aren't abstract in the least. THAT'S WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THEM!

Mirrorball, The Church just made a new album and released a month or so ago and its absolutely freaking awesome! Much slower, spacier than the earlier stuff, but man its such a great dreamy trip of an album, lyrically and musically... well worth a purchase!
It's called Untitled # 23.... and if you should come across After Everything... get it. Damn amazing stuff.
