Whats your favourite Alien film?

You call the films what the films are called:

Alien
Aliens
Alien 3
Alien Resurrection
Alien v Predator (AvP)

It's not that hard. You can read the titles in various places

I think if you can't get the title right, or spell the word whole, then your opinion is invalid :p

And yes, Alien 3 is a cinematic masterpiece. David Fincher is a vastly under-rated director who made a fantastic ending, to a fantastic trilogy.

Yes I know, I was just expanding on thepuffins neatly put notion that what many people wanted and expected from Alien 3 was actually a sequel to Aliens, that is "Aliens 2" rather than what they got which was a similar film to Alien. Let me explain: I was postulating, you see, that perhaps if we draw a "line of similarity" through the various Alien films we could assign Alien and Alien 3 to one branch and Aliens and Alien Resurrection to another. In which case, one might say that in terms of "filmic mood" as opposed to strictly speaking "chronogical orderisation", Alien 3 is a sequel to Alien and Alien Resurrection is a sequel to Aliens. So Alien 3 is, in this new system, Alien 2, or, if you will, Aliens, although the fact there is only one Alien makes me prefer the former title. Similarly Alien Resurrection could be considered the "Aliens 2" that many people expected Alien 3 (in the chronological system) to be. And so, therefore, AVP could be considered a sequel to Howard the Duck.

Therefore, I shall shut the hell up.

Mine too :)

Although the theory's quite interesting, I prefer to think of an Alien Trilogy with "that thing" just being tacked on without any real thought other than to make money.
