brand new - the quite things that no one ever knows.

its what made me have the guts to keep going, to keep me hoping I would be with my boyfriend that I have now.

and well here we are.. its changed my life forever..crazy.

unfortunately, the first song that changed my life is a little pathetic. fat lip-sum 41. before i heard that song i was still in my "OMGZ! NSYNC! BEE ESS BEE!" stage. so to me, that was a rock song & the only one i liked at the time. that song got me into sum 41 in general & the rest is history i 'spose. other songs that made a little dent in the timeline of amanda:

new found glory-singled out
armor for sleep-car underwater
relient k-who i am hates who ive been
the ataris-summer 79
good charlotte-change (blech)
new found glory-the story so far
new found glory-sonny (sensing a pattern?)
plain white ts-radios in heaven
smile empty soul-with this knife

Ah, been so many, I can't remeraber most, but:
Death-"Pull The Plug". Friend of mine played that when I was younger, I was hooked. Up until then, I had very little experience with death/heavy metal past Metallica and such. Best part is, he gave me the tape as collateral for loaning him 10 bucks...he never payed me back, hehe.
Also, I distinctly remeraber the video for Slayers "War Enserable". I think that's the song that made me want to play drums, even though I'll never be that good.:(

mines was hello goodbye by the beatles. my teacher had us sing it to primary sevens and it was amazing. i started getting into the beatles which led to 60's then 70's and ledto what i am now. and halo- soil because my ex listens to it and she gave me a copy and it was amazin

This is going to be hard... I have had a short life filled with crap music (that I enjoyed at the time) so it's hard to pick a song that changed my life. Hmm...

Van Morrison-Brown Eyed Girl

I don't know why it changed my life, but it's the first song that I can remeraber that I totally loved. My Dad used to play it in his car when I was little and we'd both sing along to it, so I suppose it changed my life because it gives me many good memories and allows the link between music and my happiness to be bound even closer.

Nirvana - Smell Like Teen Spirit

Because this song open my eyes. I really start to listen to music seriously after I heard that song.

Plain White T's - A Lonely Septeraber

Because I heard it at the exact same time that I lived a similar story to the one in the song.

Hmmm, I never actually looked at this thread because of the title. But it's actually quite interesting.

One major song.....
Probably Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

It's the first song I remeraber hearing from my Dad's vinal collection and it just amazed me and turned me to music.

Another would be Supertramp - Bloody Well Right

Because it was the first time I heard curse worRAB and music. Revalational moment. :)

considering coldplay is a rather newsish band from the last few years.. I can only imagine you being like what 12? anyways if not then please inlighten me and tell me/us why it took so long for you to find a song that changed your life? if not, and its too personal then fine.. but you made such a weird/intersting post I had to question it.

interesting, so how did "Brick in the Wall" change your life.
also which song are you talking about? there are two.. and i'm sure by "Brick in the Wall" you mean, Another Brick in the Wall part II and or I either way, go more in depth with that, i'm eger to know how Another Brick in the Wall changed yet another persons life.

what does coldplay being a new band have to do with anything? you said Brand New, if i read that correctly, which if im also correct again, is just as recent as coldplay. every song has a different impact on everyone. and by the way, i think its quite funny that you said i was 12, im not the one with spelling issues here sweet heart. "inlighten" is spelled ENLIGHTEN. the reason that song changed my life is because the lyrics are outstanding, it brings a whole new meaning to my day.

all this coming from someone who acquired their music taste from their boyfriend?

the eagles - hotel california, one of, if not the first thing i ever learnt to play and at the time it felt awsome to play so i started learning other things and really got into guitar, if i hadn't been taught that song by my uncle i might not have become a musician.
