Its not about watching
Its not about boys and girls
Its not throwing with your right foot in front
And catching with your mitt high
Its not about hitting with your elbow out
And stealing home
Its about the love of playing,
a never ending game,
We play to remember
We play to forget
We play because that’s all we know how to do
We play because that all we need to know how to do
It doesn’t matter if you catch without pads
Or if you want to play semi- shortstop
It doesn’t matter if you pick up where you left off
And you never stop playing
Don’t need to keep score
Don’t need to cuss
You keep score cuz u wanna
And you cuss cuz its fun
I play to be all -American
I play to myself
I play to escape this world
I play to go back
This is thee sport
My own pass time
What I smile at
Because this IS baseball
And its now or never
To start playing
