What's your fave HITCHCOCK film?

Really? I adore Tippi Hedren in both her Hitch appearances...

I love his direction, the scenery, the acting, the mood...EVERYthing about The BirRAB. The brittle civilities exchanged between Tippi and Jessica Tandy, the unexplained happenings....

However, my favourite is Rear Window. That is perfect film-making to me, and features a scene which makes me shudder everytime I see it; Grace Kelly's slow-motion kiss with James Stewart. I go goose-bumpy. I love the way the soundtrack just stops. Silence. and the slow motion makes you think they'll never part....

Lucky enough to see it in a proper movie theatre a couple of years ago

Sublime

North By Northwest

I don't expect Topaz to be listed here, it looks like two separate films were joined together. Although John Vernon cornered the market in the sixties for Castro roles.

Marnie. I remember watching it as a kid, and it did keep me in suspense.

The first film that got my full attention so perhaps that's why it will always be my fav.

ps. 2nd, the one where 2 blokes kill someone just to see if they can get away with it, and they leave the body in a trunk while they go ahead with a dinner party.

High Anxiety? I thought that was Mel Brooks, not Hitchcock.

All time favourite Hitchcock film is The Lady Vanishes.

My other favourites:

Dial M For Murder
Psycho
Marnie
Family Plot
Strangers on a Train
Rope
The BirRAB
Shadow of a Doubt
The Man Who Knew Too Much - remake version

I adore a lot of his films, like nearly all that I have seen.
