My fave is Chamber of Secrets

Richard Harris is still Dumbledore (he was better than Michael Gambon imo)
Love the scene with the spiders in the cave
Great ending scene between Harry and Tom Riddle/the giant snake
Ginny gets her teeth into the plot at last
Moaning Myrtle is at her best

Just great all round, its also my fave book :)

I agree with you about Dumbledore. Richard Harris's portrayal is still the one I see when reading the books.

I think Order of the Phoenix is my favourite. :)

Has anybody seen the additional scenes on the bonus disc of Half Blood Prince? Harry sounRAB as if he has a cold in one of them

:D

be too late now , any extended cuts would require looping and all the kiRAB' voices have changed .

unless they already did it , in which case how come they've never put them out ?

Prisoner of Azkaban was my favourite book but I hated the film.

I'd say Goblet Of Fire is my favourite film so far.

I'd rank them:

Goblet Of Fire
Philosopher's Stone
Chamber Of Secrets
Half Blood Prince
Order Of The Pheonix
Prisoner Of Azkaban

The Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets and the Prisoner of Azkaban are the best three films because they are all unique and have their own identities.

After the Prisoner of Azkaban it all started to go wrong, they started making them all dark and dreary and boring. The last three films have all been samey and uninteresting.

My favorite book is The Order of the Phoenix, but I can't remember the film very well. So my favorite film has to be The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire.

Completely disagree about Dumbledore. Richard Harris played him as generic old man and made him into a fairly dull old wizard character on his last legs which Dumbledore definitely wasn't. I just could not relate Dumbledore in the first two films to the Dumbledore I had in my head from the books and I could certainly not see Richard Harris' Dumbledore fighting Voldemort in the Ministry nor could I see him as a wizard that Voldemort would fear, one stiff wind and he'd be done for. Michael Gambon on the other hand is excellent, he brings the right level of fun and authority as well as a sense of mischief that Dumbledore definitely had.

My favourite film is Prisoner of Azkaban. The others are great and I enjoy watching them but everything seemed to work right in PoA, the music, the cast, the direction etc.

All the traits you describe in Harris' portrayal is what I expected from Dumbledore though, he was in my head an old whispery man who didn't show his feelings much.

Gambon's portryal was just to young and in your face for my liking but each to their own.

p.s I could absolutely see Richard Harris' Dumbledore fighting Voldemort and it would have been AMAZING
