whats your fav scary movie

This is sort of embarrassing, but the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre freaks me out so much!!

I can watch Stephen King films and Japanese horror movies etc no problem, but that movie really disturbed me and freaked me out.

My favourite scary movie is probably Misery :) Kathy Bates is such an amazing actor! Ju-on: The Grudge is also very good- the ending is so creepy...
 
It's really good. Here's my spoiler for what happens:

A Godzilla-like creature attacks the city and poos strange spiders that eat people. If one bites you and you survive then you explode.
 
Thats possibly the worst, but funniest, description of it I've read :D

It is a really tense film. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through (I've blocked to first 15 mins out of my mind lol)
 
This is especially true of hollywood scary movies. I think its after you have watched the movie that your imagination goes wild and the scares begin
 
Not into the gory stuff but love spooky films like, 'The Changeling' (George C Scott) and 'The Others' (Nicole Kidman - and of course the great Eric Sykes ;) )
 
It's got to be The Shining and IT for me, although if you watch The Shining with the sound off it's really not that scary!

First horror film I watch was Chiller - was 11 years old and I think it was about someone being frozen just before death, they un-froze him as they had found a cure but he didn't have a sole! I also remember him ripping a dogs head off - needless to say I didn't sleep very well for about a week

The only movie I've seen that I could say actually scared me.
I've seen loaRAB probably hundreRAB of Slasher/Horror movies...none of which scared me.
 
The Ring scared the crap out of me and still does! I also found The Shining very scary, possibly my favourite ever Horror. I also found the Changeling scary.

I agree - it's a great film, and could have been a masterpiece if the studio hadn't interfered so much with what Blatty wanted to do. The scene with the
old lady crawing across the ceiling has got to be one of the scariest things ever! And the bit afterwarRAB with the spring-loaded head chopper!

It really isn't.

TBH I wasn't expecting much, and the way people described it (Blair Witch crossed with Godzilla), it sounded awful. The first 15 minutes are boring and you lose interest, but you quickly see why it's an effective way mislead the audience.
